Walnut wood is native to North America. It grows mainly in riparian places from southwest to central Texas, south to Georgia, northern Florida, and west to southeast South Dakota and southern Ontario.

Walnut wood is a type of lumber that is cut from the trees of the Juglans genus. The wood has been widely recognized in the creation of furniture for its coloring, strength, and capability to be formed into elaborate curves.
